Yes! We are a Certified Network Tricare Provider.

If you are a dependent or retiree, you do not need a referral. Just give us a call and schedule your appointment.

If you are on active duty, you will need a referral from your PCM to see an off-base provider.

At Rise Alone Therapy, we are proud to offer both medical and non-medical counseling to our clients.

Non-medical counseling is short-term, solution-focused counseling that does not commonly require further medical or behavioral health treatment. Non-medical counseling can address a broad array of common problems, including stress management, marital or relational problems, grief and loss, parenting issues, deployment and adjustment issues, separation, and reintigration. Different types of therapeutic and educational techniques are used to prevent these problems from developing into mental health conditions that detract from military and family readiness.

Medical counseling is aimed at addressing psychological problems that cause more severe impairment and distress. These can include medically diagnosable mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, and traumatic brain injuries. These conditions are biologically based, and trained counselors can assist with resolving or stabilizing them.

We are a participating Tricare provider. See below to reference your Tricare plan:

  • Tricare Prime: 100% covered. There is no copay or deduction for you.
  • Tricare Select: You have a deductible that must be met each year. Once it's met, you are responsible for the copay based on your policy.
  • Tricare Prime Retired: You are responsible for the copay based on your policy.
  • Tricare Select Retired: You have a deductible that must be met each year. Once it's met, you are responsible for the copay based on your policy.

Our out-of-pocket rates are as follows:

  • $150 per 50-minute individual therapy session
  • $200 per 50-minute individual initial assessment

Most clients prefer 50-minute sessions; however, longer sessions (90 minutes) can be scheduled at a prorated amount. It is a personal preference that we are happy to accommodate.

A good-faith estimate of the approximate cost of therapy is available upon request.

If we are not contracted with your insurance company, we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company in case they reimburse for out-of-network therapy providers. Some will do this (with or without you meeting your deductible), but many do not.

Rise Alone Therapy is an online-based therapy practice. We use HIPPA-compliant EHR software to conduct all sessions. It is easy to use, and we are available to assist with questions regarding use if needed. We encourage you to consider your own personal environment when completing a session to protect your privacy.

Your free 15-minute consultation will be a brief discussion of what is bringing you to therapy. From there, we will discuss the options that Rise Alone Therapy recommends moving forward. At your first scheduled session, your therapist will conduct a thorough biopsychosocial assessment. This will allow us to better understand your treatment needs. Your therapist will then construct a treatment plan that will include goals, outcomes desired, and treatment duration. We encourage all clients to be highly involved in their treatment planning

At Rise Alone Therapy, we do not believe in subscription-based therapy. Our goal is to give you the tools and mental fortitude required to improve your life without the ever-present presence of a therapist.

We are passionate about this answer because we have heard it many times. This is a common misconception that is a big barrier to military-affiliated families seeking treatment

As we are not affiliated with the DOD, we are not required to report any personal medical or mental health history to the command. Your treatment is confidential, and there should be no fear of asking for assistance.

Absolutely! While most of our clients are affiliated with the military (active duty, retired, reserve, etc.), we are happy to provide services to anyone who needs them. Many issues that impact military families impact civilian families as well.
